The Sai Spurthi Institute of Technology (SSIT) was established in 2001 by the Vipassana Educational Trust, Hyderabad. SSIT is located in Sathupalli, Khammam district, Telangana, India. It is located beside state highway (Khammam – Rajamundry), at a distance of 7km (4.3mi) from Sathupalli towards Rajamundry. The college was affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and Approved by AICTE, Delhi. The chairman of the college is Dr. B. Partha Sarathi Reddy, the CMD of Hetero Drugs, and the secretary is Sri D. Prabhakar Reddy. The motive behind establishing the college was to impart quality technical education to the rural people and to uplift the talent of economically backward students to greater levels.

Sathupally is one of the major places in the Khammam district in Telangana state, it is the cluster of seven (saath) villages. This most fortunate place is 80Km from Khammam and 279 Km from Hyderabad. This place is infused with blessings of lord Shiva located at Niladri, rich with flora and fauna, presence of Singareni coal mines and budding Industries. The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri. Jalagam Vengalarao belongs to this place. A Thermal power station and other industries are being developed in and around Sathupally. This is the fastest developing town in Khammam dist as this town is a junction for more than 100 villages.
